What’s up everyone. 

Today we’re gonna get into Romanian deadlifts and why I think they’re the king of posterior chain development. 

Whether your goal is to get bigger or stronger, RDL’s have got you covered. 

Let’s get into it. 

So what is a Romanian Deadlift?

It’s a hip hinge movement which starts with an eccentric contraction at the top, and not from a dead stop from the floor like a lot of other deadlift variations. 

The main muscles involved are the:

-Glutes

-Trapezius

-Hamstrings

-Spinal erectors

I’ve got two videos below.

First one is a RDL tutorial and the second one is me doing RDL’s with 180kg for 10 reps.
